Biography
Monterey McEachern is a dedicated law clerk who has been a valued member of Peak Legal for the past two years. She is currently in her final year at Nova Southeastern University – Shepard Broad College of Law and will graduate with her Juris Doctor in May 2025. With a strong passion for family law, Monterey is committed to providing clients with the support and guidance they need during challenging legal matters. She understands the sensitive nature of family law cases and approaches each client with empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
Throughout her time at Peak Legal, Monterey has gained hands-on experience assisting the attorney in a variety of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, and support matters. She recognizes that family law issues can be deeply personal and often overwhelming, and she strives to ensure that clients feel heard and well-informed throughout the legal process.
In addition to her work at Peak Legal, Monterey has expanded her legal experience through clerkships with the Children and Families Law Clinic and the Disability and Advocacy Law Clinic at Nova, where she worked on cases involving child welfare, guardianship, and disability rights. She also serves as President of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund, advocating for animal welfare through community outreach.
Beyond her legal work, Monterey enjoys staying active at the gym and spending time with family and friends. She looks forward to continuing her legal career in family law and making a meaningful impact on the lives of the clients she serves.
